In response to the need for a dependable, versatile, injection molder, Via Biomedical developed its own proprietary GS-5T bench top molding press.

Designed for precision molding of small to medium size molded parts, the GS-5T is an ideal machine for development, prototyping and short run manufacturing. It’s small size and durability makes the GS-5T the perfect molder for assembly lines utilizing single piece flow where small part injection or insert molding is required in the process flow.

The plunger design and integrated controls allow for the processing of numerous types of plastic polymers including; polyurethane, Pebax®, nylon, polycarbonate, polyethylene, polypropylene, ABS and other non corrosive materials with melting temperatures below 700°F. Changeovers from one material to another can be done quickly by using spare barrel assemblies and the simple but effective clamping unit makes mold changes a snap.
